Lauren Weinberg Joins Adora as Board Advisor

Former Peloton and Square CMO to Provide Strategic Counsel to marketing leaders as Consumer Brands Navigate AI-Driven Marketing Transformation

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adora, the AI-native performance marketing platform, today announced that Lauren Weinberg has joined as Board Advisor. Weinberg brings over 20 years of marketing leadership experience at scale, including serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Peloton and Square, where she led brand transformations and scaled marketing operations globally.

In her role, Weinberg will partner with CMOs, helping them navigate the rapidly growing AI-landscape with Adora at the center of their marketing operation. As AI fundamentally reshapes how brands create, test, and optimize campaigns, Lauren will play a critical role in ensuring Adora’s solutions continue to address the actual challenges Fortune 500 CMOs face and ultimately, become ubiquitous in the market.

“Marketing organizations are navigating an unprecedented moment. Return on ad spend is down 50% over five years while AI investment pressure intensifies,” said Marco Matos, Adora's Founder and CEO. "Lauren has successfully led marketing transformation at exactly the scale and complexity our customers face. Her strategic counsel will be invaluable as we help brands move from fragmented marketing operations to integrated, high-velocity campaign execution."

That track record is evident across Weinberg's career. At Square, she transformed marketing from a performance-focused function into a comprehensive brand and growth engine during a period of significant revenue growth for Square and parent company Block. This included launching Square's first global brand campaign and scaling marketing into a global function spanning five countries.

At Peloton, she led all marketing through the brand's post-pandemic transformation, overseeing efforts to successfully reposition perceptions of Peloton beyond the bike, while maintaining the efficiency targets required to meet the needs of the organization.

"I’ve spent the last 18 months looking closely at AI in marketing. What drew me to Adora is their clear understanding that AI itself isn't the story. It's what AI enables marketers to accomplish," said Lauren Weinberg. "Marketing teams are drowning in tools and manual work. Adora addresses the operational reality: marketing organizations need to launch campaigns in days, not weeks, while maintaining the control and creative quality that brands require. That's fundamentally an organizational efficiency challenge, and it's exactly what I've spent my career solving."

"I’ve had the good fortune of seeing Lauren in action at Square and Peloton. There is a reason she is one of the most respected CMOs in America,” said Kabir Shahani, Adora's Executive Chairman. “She brings the caliber of strategic thinking we want representing Adora with customers and informing our own strategy.”

Weinberg has been recognized by Forbes as one of the "50 Most Entrepreneurial CMOs," named to ADWEEK's "Top 18 CMOs" list, and honored by Brand Innovators as a "Top Woman in Marketing." She’s been a Board Member for the Mobile Marketing Association Board and Emory University, her alma mater. In 2022, she and Jackie Reses co-authored the book, "Self-Made Boss: Advice, Hacks, and Lessons from Small Business Owners."
