The award recognizes AT&T’s work across Georgia, showcasing how the company’s core mission of connectivity extends far beyond its bottom line to support communities when they need it most.

“At AT&T, we wake up every day with the goal of connecting more Georgians to greater possibility,” said Riley Blount, president of AT&T Georgia. “Whether we are in the field restoring networks after storms, volunteering in the community to empower our neighbors or discovering innovative solutions, my colleagues and I are focused on making a meaningful difference in the lives of Georgians. When Georgians thrive, companies thrive. Going beyond profit is simply good business.”

AT&T’s commitment to connectivity can be seen in many ways:

  • Disaster Response: Through FirstNet®, built with AT&T and the AT&T Network Disaster Recovery program, AT&T helps keep communities and first responders connected during natural disasters and emergency situations, providing a true lifeline when it is needed most.
  • Closing the Digital Divide: AT&T is helping close the digital divide in Georgia by collaborating with local nonprofit organizations to open AT&T Connected Learning Centers, distribute laptops and provide digital skills training – empowering Georgians by providing access to high-speed internet and opportunity, affordable options and digital training that supports technology adoption.
  • Visible Leadership and Employee Action: From AT&T’s collaborations with local non-profits in communities across Georgia, to its ‘Acts of Kindness’ program that allows AT&T’s in-home experts to request corporate support for customers in need to the company’s providing a paid day off for community service, AT&T employees are empowered to volunteer, support customers and apply their expertise and compassion to uplift neighbors.

“A goBeyondProfit Champion weaves generosity into the fabric of their business strategy,” said Megan McCamey, President of goBeyondProfit. “AT&T’s work in Georgia—from equipping thousands of Georgia students and families with laptops to restoring communication in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene—is a powerful example of a business not just providing a service but truly acting as a partner to the community.”
