Syniverse Takes Gold in International Business Awards for Olympic-Themed Corporate Event

Company united more than 200 professionals from 34 countries with unique sales kickoff format

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Syniverse, the world's most connected company®, has been honored with an International Business Awards Gold Stevie® in the Corporate Event category and will be formally recognized at the 22nd annual International Business Awards® in October of this year.

More than 200 professionals from 34 countries gathered at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, in December for a celebration centered on the motto "Higher, Faster, Stronger — Together." Designed to honor a global workforce, the event opened with a parade of nations and incorporated elements from different cultures throughout the experience.

Attendees participated in cross-functional team competitions, received recognition for their business achievements on podiums, and gave sport-themed presentations that used sports like synchronized swimming and sailing as metaphors. The event featured keynote speaker Chaunté Lowe, the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist in the high jump, who addressed themes of resilience and redefining success.

"With the Paris Olympics fresh in everyone's minds, we embraced the chance to unite our company while showcasing the power of individual achievement and collective excellence," said Caroline Mulloy, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Syniverse. "When colleagues who rarely meet face-to-face come together and form lasting relationships, we're reminded of the opportunity and progress that emerge once people are truly connected."

The International Business Awards are considered the world's premier business awards program, recognizing accomplishments in every facet of work. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award recipients were determined by a judging panel of 250 global executives that reviewed submissions from organizations and individuals in 78 nations and territories.

Winners will be celebrated during a gala banquet at the Corinthia Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal, on Friday, Oct. 10.
