The Snow League Announces Legendary Hip-Hop Artist Big Boi to Perform at Inaugural Event in Aspen, CO

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aspen, get ready! The Snow League, the groundbreaking new professional snowboarding and freeskiing league started by Shaun White, is thrilled to announce that six-time Grammy-winning hip-hop legend Big Boi will headline a special live performance at the first-ever Snow League event on March 8, 2025, in Aspen, CO.

Following an action-packed two days of elite snowboarding competition, fans will be treated to an unforgettable show from one of hip-hop’s most influential artists. Known for his dynamic stage presence and hits both as a solo artist and as part of the iconic duo OutKast, Big Boi will bring his signature energy to cap off an already historic event and celebrate the winners of the inaugural event for the new league.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Big Boi join us for this milestone moment in snowboarding,” said White, founder of The Snow League. “Big Boi and I have known each other for many years, and his music, creativity, style and passion aligns so perfectly with what we’re trying to create with this new league. I’m so pumped to have him there in Aspen, and I know both the athletes and the crowd will love every minute of it.”

Big Boi adds: "Ayy, much love to my guy Shaun White for having me out in Aspen for The Snow League! That boy is a legend—it only makes sense for him to create an event like this. I’m looking forward to supporting him and bringing that ATL flavor up to the mountain.”

The event, which takes place on March 7-8 at Buttermilk Mountain at Aspen Snowmass, will bring together the world’s best snowboarders including Ayumu Hirano, Maddie Mastro, Mitsuki Ono and more to compete at the highest level. With a record-breaking $1.6 million prize pool, The Snow League sets a new benchmark for professional snowboarding competition.
