SpeedPro Expands Presence with New Detroit West Studio

Owner Ra-Mon Watkins brings experience in business, education, and a passion for community involvement

DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SpeedPro, a leading provider of large-format printing and graphics solutions, proudly announces the grand opening of its newest studio, SpeedPro Detroit West, under the leadership of owner Ra-Mon Watkins. The studio became fully operational this fall.

Ra-Mon Watkins, a retired high school math teacher and football coach, brings a unique combination of business knowledge and enthusiasm for community engagement to his role as a new SpeedPro franchise owner. A former University of Michigan football player, Watkins has always believed in teamwork, accountability, and mentorship—principles he plans to apply to this new venture. Before teaching and coaching, Watkins worked in sales and earned his degree in business.

"I’m thrilled to be a part of the Detroit business community and to work closely with organizations to support their growth through impactful visual solutions,” said Watkins. “My goal is not just to provide excellent service, but to make a positive difference beyond just business.”

SpeedPro Detroit West will offer a range of services, including window graphics, vehicle wraps, event displays, and more. Watkins’ focus will be on creating lasting partnerships with local businesses, particularly in the B2B sector. He also plans to work closely with Detroit schools and organizations, including the Detroit Police Athletic League and Midnight Golf, by offering signage donations, event support, and mentorship opportunities for youth.

"We want to help our clients grow by tailoring printing and graphics solutions that meet their unique needs. We aim to exceed expectations and become a valued resource and trusted partner in their growth and success," added Watkins.
