Rehlko Releases 2026 Powering Impact Report, Highlighting Sustainable Power Progress for Data Centers
In 2025, Rehlko Deployed Flexible, Lower-Emission Energy Solutions, Supporting ~20% Emissions Reduction in Own Operations
MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rehlko, a global energy resilience leader delivering innovative solutions across industrial energy systems, powertrain technologies, and home energy applications, today published its 2026 Powering Impact Report, marking progress in helping to embed sustainability into resilient power solutions for data centers. The report shows how lifecycle insight, system engineering, and digital tools help customers access reliable power quickly while maintaining flexibility as energy systems evolve.
As data center demand grows amid grid constraints, operators need power solutions that balance speed, reliability, and transparency. Rehlko aims to position sustainability as a practical enabler, that can inform how power systems are specified, designed, and optimized over time based on location, fuel availability, regulatory conditions, and customer priorities.
The report highlights how Rehlko’s portfolio helps support resilient, fuel‑flexible power architectures for mission‑critical infrastructures, serving applications including data centers operating under tight timelines. These systems are designed to support modular integration of technologies, where applicable, such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), combined cooling, heat, and power (CCHP), advanced controls, and compatibility with alternative fuels, where appropriate.
Alongside customer solutions, the report outlines measured progress across Rehlko’s own operations. In 2025, the company reported a 19.6% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to a 2023 baseline, based on defined methodologies, and 81.2% of operational waste diverted from landfills. These results reflect historical performance and Rehlko’s ongoing efforts to improve over time and are calculated based on internally defined methodologies.
“Data center customers are navigating a more complex set of power decisions than ever before,” said Brian Melka, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rehlko. “Our role is to help deliver systems that are reliable when and where they’re needed, while working to improve the quality of information customers use to evaluate energy choices. The Powering Impact Report reflects how we’re integrating sustainability insight directly into engineering, tools, and execution.”
A central element of this approach is Rehlko’s Power Impact Intelligence strategic platform. This digital and interactive solution includes the Rehlko Backup Power | EPD Carbon Calculator, which provides direct access to verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) data, enabling customers to evaluate the embodied carbon of backup power systems at a product level. Unlike static reports or disconnected data sources, it works to deliver clear, decision-support insight to support more informed infrastructure choices, including those that may reduce carbon emissions. In addition, the Rehlko Prime Power | Decarbonization Modeler offers regionally informed, scenario‑based insights to help customers explore how different power system options compare under local energy conditions and available technologies.
“Our intent is to translate sustainability from insight into execution,” said Francis Perrin, Chief Brand and Sustainability Officer at Rehlko. “Rather than setting abstract endpoints, we focus on system‑level thinking, helping customers plan for reliability today while maintaining optionality over the life of their assets. Power Impact Intelligence is one example of how we are helping to equip customers with data that is credible, transparent, and practical.”
Rehlko also developed the Structured Transition Model (STM), a pathway and solutions framework that is designed to enable immediate reliable power while supporting a flexible transition to lower carbon operations over time. Actual results, performance, and outcomes from these tools may vary based on application, operating conditions, regulatory requirements, and other factors.
The 2026 Powering Impact Report covers governance, safety, workforce, and community topics while distinguishing current performance from longer‑term considerations. Through disciplined engineering, transparent reporting, and decision‑support tools, Rehlko continues to embed sustainability into innovation, supporting data center customers as they scale critical infrastructure in an evolving energy landscape.
