Locumsmart Names Thomas Lanvers President

Promotion Underscores the Industry-Leading Vendor Management System’s Commitment to Growth and Innovation

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Locumsmart, the industry’s first vendor management system dedicated to locum tenens staffing, has promoted Thomas Lanvers to President. Lanvers joined the company in 2023 as Senior Vice President. While in that role, he has become known for strengthening relationships with vendors and healthcare organizations while building a more robust sales and customer success team. His leadership has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation across the organization.

“We’re incredibly excited for Thomas to step into this new role,” said Bill Heller, COO of CHG Healthcare. “Thomas has a proven history of generating results, engaging people, and building successful teams. His deep understanding of the locum tenens space and commitment to both health system and vendor success make him the ideal leader for Locumsmart’s next chapter.”

Lanvers takes the reins during a banner year for the industry-leading vendor management system. The platform has experienced record-breaking growth in 2025. One of his first duties as president will be leading the upcoming Locumsmart Education Conference in Nashville in early December. Lanvers replaces past president and founder Aaron Paul, who announced his retirement last December.

Lanvers has nearly two decades of expertise in medical staffing, with a strong focus on the locum tenens space. He spent 16 years at CompHealth, advancing through leadership roles as director, senior director, and vice president. In 2019, he was promoted to vice president of CompHealth Locum Tenens National Accounts and later played a key role in establishing CHG Healthcare’s Enterprise Client Solutions team. Before joining Locumsmart, Lanvers served as Vice President of Business Development at CHG, CompHealth’s parent company, from 2021 to 2024.

“We are at a unique time in healthcare where hospital systems and agencies are both facing margin squeezes from a variety of angles,” Lanvers said. “I’m excited to be taking the lead at Locumsmart, where technology can enable both our hospital and agency partners to increase their efficiency and ultimately deliver care to patients and communities for less.”
