“Earning this recognition affirms what has long been part of BioTalent Canada’s DNA: our people drive entrepreneurial success and industry impact,” says Rob Henderson, President and CEO of BioTalent Canada. “We strive to be a trusted source of labour market intelligence and a partner to employers building strong, innovative teams that fuel growth in Canada’s bio-economy.”

The Employer of Choice 2025 designation is awarded based on a two-step assessment combining direct employee feedback and an organization's submission. Employers are evaluated against key factors such as workforce engagement, diversity and inclusion, professional development, workplace culture, flexible work arrangements, and wellness initiatives. To qualify, organizations must achieve an employee satisfaction rating of at least 75 percent.

“We have strived to focus on flexible work options and skills development and career growth to nurture an environment where every employee feels valued, supported, and motivated to contribute,” adds Sylvia Monteiro, Manager, People and Culture at BioTalent Canada. “This recognition shows that our culture is thriving, and we are walking the talk on workplace excellence.”

BioTalent Canada’s recognition as an Employer of Choice reflects its ongoing leadership in supporting Canadian bio-economy employers, particularly SMEs that often operate without dedicated HR teams. By providing practical onboarding courses designed to close skill gaps and free employer resources that offer actionable hiring insights, BioTalent Canada helps organizations build strong, effective teams.

By modelling best practices internally and externally, BioTalent Canada continues to set a benchmark for workplace standards prioritizing inclusivity, innovation and long-term sustainability.
