Raptor Technologies’ SIGMA Experts Launch Student Wellbeing Initiative to Strengthen School Safety and Improve Student Outcomes

Expert-led program equips schools with training, resources, and guidance to address violence, suicide and bullying.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Raptor Technologies’ SIGMA Threat Management Associates, led by Dr. Marisa Randazzo, today announced the launch of the Student Wellbeing Initiative – a new service to provide schools with evidence-based guidance, practical recommendations and training to build stronger, holistic student wellbeing programs.

The initiative offers schools a multi-year, tailored partnership centered on three urgent priorities: threats and incidents of violence; suicide prevention; and bullying, harassment, and intimidation. This program combines expert insights, staff training and ongoing consultation aligned with state mandates and district policies to help schools reduce risk, strengthen compliance and support student wellbeing.

Why Student Wellbeing Matters

Today’s schools face growing challenges. Educator burnout is on the rise, students report greater safety concerns and school boards consistently rank safety and wellbeing as top priorities.¹²³ These pressures disrupt learning, increase absenteeism and strain staff capacity.

The Student Wellbeing Initiative helps schools address these challenges directly. For example, many schools have anti-bullying policies but lack consistent reporting practices. Staff may define incidents differently, leading to inconsistent procedures and extra admin work. Raptor’s experts help align practices with state policy, train staff at every level and provide ongoing consultation to make programs consistent, compliant and effective. Moreover, this new offering includes ongoing support to help schools maintain the efficacy of wellbeing programs, making this recurring service far more effective than one-off professional development sessions.

Key Benefits for Schools and Students

The Student Wellbeing Initiative enables schools to:

  • Address critical issues: Tackle violence, bullying, harassment and suicide prevention by implementing expert strategies.
  • Stay compliant: Align practices with regulatory requirements and strengthen documentation and case management.
  • Improve school culture: Improve student attendance, engagement and staff confidence.
  • Maintain momentum: Sustain progress with ongoing consultation and resources.

“Schools are being asked to do more than ever to keep students safe and supported,” said Gray Hall, CEO of Raptor Technologies. “The Student Wellbeing Initiative is designed to give staff a proven framework and the expert partnership they need to strengthen wellbeing and, ultimately, improve student outcomes.”

A Sustainable Approach to Safety and Wellbeing

The launch of the Student Wellbeing Initiative builds on the growth and success of Raptor’s Compliance and Success Program (CSP), which has expanded to encompass all Raptor products to deliver structured, long-term support. By expanding CSP to include student wellbeing, Raptor provides schools with expert-led coaching, actionable resources and ongoing consultation to reduce disruptions, meet compliance mandates and enhance academic performance. This expansion reflects Raptor’s long-standing commitment to prevention, building on the foundation established through Raptor StudentSafe™ and reinforcing the company’s focus on early intervention as a cornerstone of student safety and wellbeing.

“Student wellbeing is a critical foundation for student success,” said Dr. Marisa Randazzo, Executive Director of Threat Assessment at Raptor Technologies. “By combining SIGMA’s decades of expertise in threat assessment and violence prevention with Raptor’s Compliance and Success Program, we help schools build sustainable cultures of safety and wellbeing that improve outcomes for every student.”
