National Cancer Center Announces Recipients of 2025-26 Research Fellowship Awards

Total of 11 awards totaling $676K will benefit researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, NYU Langone, Rockefeller University, Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope, and Columbia University

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--National Cancer Center is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2025-26 research grant awards and renewals, which support research fellows pursuing promising and innovative cancer research.

This year’s class includes 11 recipients from diverse backgrounds and a broad universe of premier cancer research institutions, including Dana Farber Cancer Institute

This year’s class includes a total of 11 recipients from diverse backgrounds and a broad universe of premier cancer research institutions. First-time recipients will receive $60,000 each and are eligible to receive an additional grant of $62,000 if he or she has demonstrated good progress at the conclusion of the first year.

“National Cancer Center’s mission identifies and funds promising projects by the best up-and-coming research fellows conducting research in the United States. Seewaldt, M.D., City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center (Duarte, California), and Chair of NCC’s Scientific Advisory Board.

Recipients include: Shelby Roseman, Ph.D., Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Kaiwan Sun, Ph.D., Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Jiali Yu, Ph.D., Weill Medical College of Cornell University; Katharina Hoebel, M.D., Ph.D., Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Jibin Sadasivan, Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Diego Martinez Alonso, Ph.D., Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Nikita Jinna, Ph.D., Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope; Marija Simic, Ph.D., NYU Langone; Hengrui Liu, Ph.D., Rockefeller University; Suman Dash, Ph.D., Columbia University; and Yixin Hu, Ph.D., Rockefeller University.

All award decisions are made by NCC’s Scientific Advisory Board. In addition to Dr. Seewaldt, the Scientific Advisory Board includes Jerome Ritz, M.D., Harvard Medical School; John M. Kirkwood, M.D., University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute; Janet M.D. Plate, Ph.D.; and David Knorr, M.D., Ph.D., Translational Medicine Lead, Mariana Oncology. Darell D.
