American Water Named on TIME’s America’s Best Mid-Size Companies 2025 List

Ranked No. 1 in water and wastewater utilities

CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., announced today that it has been named on TIME’s America’s Best Mid-Size Companies 2025 list.

The ranking is based on three dimensions: Employee Satisfaction, Revenue Growth and Sustainability Transparency. TIME partnered with market research firm Statista to collect data via employee surveys from U.S. companies, Statista’s revenue database, and Statista’s ESG Database and targeted data research. The scores of all three dimensions were added on an equal percentage basis to form the final ranking score of a maximum 100 points. The 500 companies with the highest score were awarded as America’s Best Midsize Companies 2025 by TIME and Statista.
