American Water Executives Share Industry Expertise at 2025 NARUC Annual Meeting

The event convened state regulators, utility executives and industry experts to explore the future of utility service amid evolving policy, climate and customer expectations.

American Water participated on panels exploring affordability, demand planning and supplier diversity:

  • Cheryl Norton, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, American Water, participated in the Demand Roundtable, which convened regulators, transmission operators and major electricity customers to examine strategies for managing growing demand linked to electrification, re-shoring and data center development.
  • Rebecca Losli, President, Illinois American Water, joined the panel Consumer Benefits from Line Extension Programs. The session explored how line extension polices support affordability and long-term service expansion for both current and future utility customers. Additionally, she spoke during Embracing Change while Achieving and Empowering Success, a fireside chat focused on driving momentum in supplier diversity and innovation. The session highlighted practical ways utilities are building inclusive partnerships to meet future infrastructure needs.
