Kingswood Capital Management Expands Leadership Team with New Chief Talent Officer Merche del Valle
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kingswood Capital Management, LP, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm focused on investments in and buyouts of middle-market companies across North America, is pleased to announce the hiring of Merche del Valle as Chief Talent Officer. Del Valle will lead recruiting and human resources strategy across Kingswood and the firm’s portfolio companies, expanding its capacity to attract and develop top-tier talent and to support the success of each business in our portfolio.
“Merche has a proven track record of strategic organizational leadership and development at leading firms and businesses around the world,” said Alex Wolf, Kingswood Managing Partner. “She is adept at cultivating strong and resilient leadership teams and maintains a deep understanding of cross-cultural business environments, which is critical as we continue to drive growth and value for our partners worldwide. We’re so pleased to welcome Merche to our team.”
Del Valle brings more than 25 years of experience with Fortune 100 and 500 companies and private equity firms. She joins Kingswood from Coach Synapse LLC, a firm she founded to provide talent, leadership, and organizational development services to major clients worldwide. Del Valle previously served as Managing Director, Chief Talent Officer, and Chief HR Officer at Grain Management L.L.C., a leading global communications and digital infrastructure investment firm. At Grain, she drove talent and leadership strategy to support the firm’s aggressive growth objectives, as well as assessing leadership, management, and boards at their portfolio companies—resulting in a $5 billion increase in Grain’s AUM during her tenure.
Prior to Grain, del Valle led Pine Street, Goldman Sachs’ APAC coaching and advisory practice in Hong Kong. She was also Head of Talent, Leadership & Organizational Development at Prudential Corporation in Hong Kong, and Director of Leadership and Organizational Development at Unilever in Singapore. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, spending 13 years in talent development and acquisition roles across Europe and Asia.
“I’m excited to join the Kingswood team and support its capacity to scale across the middle market,” said del Valle. “I’m looking forward to working with both Kingswood and the firm’s portfolio companies to further develop and optimize a leadership pipeline combining deep industry expertise and a commitment to growth.”
Del Valle holds a master’s degree in neuroscience and education from Columbia University and is working toward a second master’s degree in psychology from Harvard University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from CUNEF, Complutense University of Madrid, and numerous certifications in organizational development, behavioral tools, executive coaching, and mentoring.
