Thompson & Associates CPAs Names Amanda N. Casey as Managing Director

Veteran CPA to lead advisory services for mid-market companies with complex tax needs

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thompson & Associates CPAs, an Atlanta-based CPA firm, today announced the appointment of Amanda N. Casey, CPA, as Managing Director. Casey joins the firm after more than a decade at CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), where she most recently served as a Managing Director in the firm's North Atlanta office.

In her new role, Casey will lead the firm's work with mid-market companies facing complex tax situations that demand strategic guidance — not simply tax preparation. A Certified Public Accountant with over 23 years of public accounting experience, she advises high-net-worth individuals, professional service firms, and real estate clients, with a practice focused on attorneys, real estate developers, and closely held businesses. She is known for a practical, hands-on approach and for working seamlessly as part of a broader advisory team to help clients navigate complicated tax and compliance matters.

Casey earned her accounting degree from Georgia Southwestern State University and began her career at Mauldin & Jenkins, a regional CPA firm serving the financial sector. She subsequently advanced through a series of tax and advisory roles before joining CLA, where she spent more than ten years building a practice centered on closely held businesses and real estate.

"Amanda is exactly the kind of seasoned advisor our mid-market clients deserve," said Michael T. Thompson, CPA, founder and owner of Thompson & Associates CPAs. "As a forensic accounting firm, we get brought in when the stakes are high and the questions are complicated. Amanda built her career doing precisely that kind of work — strategic, hands-on guidance rather than routine tax preparation. She and I are in true alignment on what matters most: working in genuine partnership with our clients. I could not be more pleased to welcome her as Managing Director."

"I'm thrilled to join Thompson & Associates," said Casey. "The clients I find most rewarding are companies and individuals wrestling with genuinely complex tax questions — the ones who need a strategy, not just a return filed. Throughout my career I've focused on being a hands-on partner rather than an outside accountant, and that philosophy is at the heart of this firm. I'm looking forward to helping our clients navigate the toughest issues with the care and rigor they deserve."
