Maxima Provides Free Massage Vouchers to Spotlight Accountant Burnout During Year-end Close

AI accounting company is gifting free one hour massage vouchers to raise awareness of the physical and mental strain of the close season

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maxima, the agentic AI platform for accounting automation, today announced a new initiative focused on the physical and mental toll accountants face during close season. The campaign encourages professionals to highlight accountants on LinkedIn who are dealing with long hours, repetitive workflows, and the posture-related strain that intensifies every December. Selected accountants will receive a free one hour $140 Swedish massage voucher, courtesy of Maxima, after being tagged on LinkedIn.

Maxima was founded by former accountants and finance leaders who have felt the pressure and physical discomfort of the close cycle firsthand. The company’s gesture aims to bring attention to an overlooked but very real part of the job.

“Accountants carry a heavy load during close season, and that load shows up in the body,” said Yogi Goel, CEO and Co-founder of Maxima. “I spent the early part of my career as an accountant and I remember the long hours and constant back pain. This campaign is our way of offering recognition and a moment of relief during one of the toughest periods of the year.”

The initiative will run for one day and kicks off on Wednesday, Dec 10, 2025 at 9am PT and goes through 11:59pm PT same day. Any accountants tagged in a post from Yogi Goel will be eligible for a massage voucher.

The campaign follows Maxima’s recent announcement of a $41 million fundraise led by Redpoint Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and Audacious Ventures. It aligns with Maxima’s mission to use AI to reduce the manual, repetitive work that contributes to long term burnout and strain. Instead of posting another message about productivity, Maxima is choosing to support the people behind the numbers directly.
