California American Water and Assemblywoman Soria Partner to Support Madera County Food Bank

MADERA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--California American Water, in partnership with Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria, presented a $2,500 donation to the Madera County Food Bank as part of the annual Operation Gobble campaign.

Operation Gobble is a longstanding charitable initiative that brings together water utilities and elected officials to support nonprofit organizations working to address food insecurity in their communities. Initially launched in 1990 as a turkey donation program, Operation Gobble has evolved into a program that provides direct financial support to local food banks and hunger relief organizations across California.

“Too many families in our region face food insecurity, especially during the holiday season,” said Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria. “I’m proud to partner with California American Water to support the Madera County Food Bank and help ensure more families have access to holiday meals.”

The $2,500 donation will help the Madera County Food Bank continue its mission of providing food assistance to individuals and families in need throughout the county. The funds will support the organization’s efforts to distribute fresh produce, pantry staples and other essential items to thousands of residents.

“California American Water is honored to support the Madera County Food Bank through Operation Gobble,” said Audie Foster, Director of Operations for California American Water’s Northern Division. “We’re committed to being an impactful and caring neighbor in the communities we serve, and this partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to helping local families.”

A check presentation took place at the Madera County Food Bank, located at 1055 Knox Rd. in Madera, CA, and included remarks from Assemblywoman Soria and representatives from California American Water.
