Longview’s Andrea Fair Elected to American Board of Trial Advocates

Miller Fair Henry partner named to exclusive organization for trial attorneys

LONGVIEW, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andrea L. Fair, a name partner of Longview-based Miller Fair Henry PLLC, has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, an exclusive group of the nation’s leading trial lawyers and judges.

ABOTA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials, defending the independence of the judiciary, and upholding the rule of law. In addition to substantial trial experience, acceptance into this invitation-only group requires an attorney be evaluated on trial experience, reputation and character. More than 7,300 lawyers and judges participate in ABOTA chapters in all 50 states.

“The right to a trial by jury for individuals and businesses is incredibly important, and I’m honored to be part of a group with a mission to uphold and preserve that right,” says Ms. Fair. “ABOTA is one of the nation's most effective organizations in championing the ethics, professionalism and principles of the legal profession, and this invitation is truly special.”

Ms. Fair focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, frequently managing jury selection, examining and cross-examining fact and expert witnesses, and handling opening statement and closing argument. She also regularly prepares briefings and handles oral arguments for pre-trial, discovery, and post-trial motions.

This year alone, Ms. Fair has participated as local counsel in eight trials in the Eastern District of Texas, including two trials in recent months that returned a combined $524 million in damages against global technology giant Samsung for patent infringement.

Earlier this year, Ms. Fair was inducted into the International Society of Barristers, an organization reserved for the world’s most distinguished trial lawyers and was recognized on the list of Texas Super Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America, and by Lawdragon as one of the Leading Litigators in America.
