$30K Grant from FHLB Dallas and FBT Bank & Mortgage Fuels Growth at Home Again Pine Bluff

Funds Support Expansion of Staff to Support Growing Operations

PINE BLUFF, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In a shared commitment to community revitalization and economic empowerment, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and FBT Bank & Mortgage have awarded $30,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Home Again Pine Bluff.

The nonprofit, which helps Pine Bluff, Arkansas-based families achieve homeownership, will use the funds to hire an administrative assistant to support its expanding operations.

“We are incredibly grateful to FHLB Dallas and FBT Bank & Mortgage for this generous grant,” said Home Again Pine Bluff Founder and CEO Matt Mosler. “Our plan is that none of us would take a salary so that all the money could be used to remodel and build not just houses but futures for the people of Pine Bluff. But due to our growth, we need some administrative help which is why this grant and the continued support of FHLB Dallas and FBT Bank & Mortgage is such a blessing.”

The FHLB Dallas PGP offers up to a 5:1 match of member contributions—up to $25,000 per FHLB Dallas member—to support community-based organizations involved in affordable housing or economic development activities that complement other FHLB Dallas community investment programs. The program is funded on an annual basis, and funds are distributed through participating FHLB Dallas members.

In this case, FBT Bank & Mortgage provided $5,000, which FHLB Dallas matched with $25,000.

“We’re proud to support a forward-thinking nonprofit like Home Again Pine Bluff,” FBT Bank & Mortgage Assistant Vice President Daniel Pledger said. “From transforming abandoned properties into family homes, to launching a neighborhood that attracts teachers and first responders, Home Again Pine Bluff is redefining what community revitalization looks like. This grant will help bring in a dedicated administrative assistant to support their expanding mission.”

Greg Hettrick, senior vice president and director of Community Investment at FHLB Dallas, said the PGP provides a boost to nonprofits like Home Again Pine Bluff with a community-specific approach.

“By revitalizing neglected properties and building new homes for families and essential workers, Home Again Pine Bluff is expanding housing affordability and making it attainable for those who need it most. We’re proud to support this mission through the Partnership Grant Program,” Mr. Hettrick said.
