Media Advisory: Saint-Gobain Canada to Inaugurate First Zero-Carbon (Scope 1 & 2) Gypsum Wallboard Plant in North America and Largest Worldwide

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Saint-Gobain Canada, leader in light and sustainable construction, will host an official ribbon cutting ceremony on September 26, 2025 to commemorate CertainTeed’s Sainte-Catherine gypsum wallboard plant expansion.

This event comes following two years of innovative and sustainable upgrades to make it the first zero-carbon (scope 1 & 2) gypsum wallboard plant in North America and the largest in the world, with the support of Quebec’s government EcoPerformance program and using 100% renewable energy from Hydro-Québec.
