O’Reilly to Host Second AI Codecon on Coding for the Agentic World

Virtual Conference Brings Intensive Exploration of the Tools, Workflows, and Architectures Defining Agentic Era of Programming

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--O’Reilly, the premier learning platform for technology professionals, today announced the second virtual conference in the AI Codecon series. Coding for the Agentic World will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 11:00am to 3:00pm ET, and is free for all attendees.

Cohosted by O’Reilly Media founder Tim O’Reilly and Google’s head of Chrome developer experience, Addy Osmani, this event is focused on four critical frontiers of agentic development:

  • Agentic interfaces: Moving beyond chat UX to sophisticated agent interactions
  • Tool-to-tool workflows: How agents chain across environments to complete complex tasks
  • Background coding agents: Asynchronous, autonomous code generation in production
  • MCP and agent protocols: The infrastructure enabling the agentic web

“The May 8 AI Codecon was a huge success. We had over 9,000 live attendees and another 12,000 who signed up to be able to view the content later on the O’Reilly learning platform,” said Tim O’Reilly. “Our focus this time is going to be on agentic coding. We’re moving beyond simple chatbots to AI systems that can plan, execute, and collaborate—transforming how we build software.”

Anyone who is eager to explore AI-enabled software development is encouraged to attend. To see the full event schedule and reserve your spot, please click here.

O’Reilly also plans a separate event for the purpose of demonstrating—via compelling, fast-paced demos—how MCP is creating the architecture of participation for AI systems. Learn more and sign up for O’Reilly Demo Day for free.
