Moses Singer Welcomes Entertainment and Intellectual Property Partner Frederick Bimbler

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Moses Singer is pleased to announce that nationally recognized entertainment lawyer Frederick P. Bimbler has joined the firm as a partner in its Intellectual Property, Entertainment/Media & Technology practice.

“Fred has long been a go-to lawyer for high-level entertainment transactions,” said Elizabeth A. Corradino, chair of Moses Singer’s Intellectual Property, Entertainment/Media & Technology practice group. “His arrival enhances our ability to serve creative professionals and rights-holders with sophisticated needs across media formats, productions, and platforms. His deep roots in the theatre world bring a unique strength to our team and open new opportunities for our practice. Fred’s extensive legal experience in the theatre industry, including his work on Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, touring companies, and international stage ventures, positions us to provide unparalleled counsel to clients in the live performance sector.”

Ranked by Chambers & Partners and recognized in Variety’s Legal Impact Report, Bimbler represents celebrities, producers, writers, directors, and financiers in all entertainment arenas, including traditional television and streaming entertainment, motion picture, live stage theatre, digital media, and e-commerce. He has extensive experience handling agreements for live productions, including theatre production and finance, agency agreements, rights agreements, licensing agreements, union agreements, commissions, and event agreements, as well as general IP counseling. Bimbler also provides outside business affairs counsel to major and boutique talent, literary agencies, and management companies.

“Fred will be a tremendous asset to Moses Singer and our clients,” said Dean Swagert, the firm’s managing partner. “His reputation as a trusted advisor in the entertainment space, along with his industry knowledge and collaborative spirit, make him a terrific fit for the firm and our clients.”

“I’ve always believed in protecting and empowering creators,” said Bimbler. “Joining Moses Singer gives me a platform to deepen my work across theatre, estates, and cross-border entertainment deals while collaborating with strong corporate and IP colleagues. I’m excited for what’s ahead.”

Bimbler joins from Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard, where he practiced for over 22 years. He frequently works with clients who bridge multiple creative disciplines—such as writer-producers and actor-writers—and has a deep understanding of both New York and Los Angeles dealmaking frameworks.

Bimbler holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he was Notes & Articles editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal, and a B.F.A. in Theatre Management from the University of Miami. He is admitted to practice in New York.
