Financial Services Executive Joins First Command for Corporate Governance

John Woerner becomes newest member of the First Command Board of Directors

FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--First Command Financial Services Inc., announced today that John Woerner has joined the company’s board of directors, effective Sept. 25.

John Woerner comes to First Command with 30 years of financial services experience. He has extensive experience in investment banking, strategic consulting, and personal financial services. In 2022, John retired from Ameriprise Financial Inc., the largest U.S. financial planning firm, as president, Insurance and Annuities and chief strategy officer. His work experiences include serving as a partner at McKinsey & Co., a global management consulting firm where he focused on asset management, wealth management, and insurance. He began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., as a financial analyst in debt capital markets.
