NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Angie Ransom, Vice President of Retail for ERI, the nation’s leading material resource recovery, ITAD, mobility and data destruction/processing provider and largest recycler of electronics, was a featured panelist for the event closing keynote discussion at the Battery and Universal Waste Conference yesterday at the Sheraton Grand Nashville.

In the panel, moderated by DeAnne Toto, Editorial Director for the Recycling Today Media Group, Ransom spoke as part of a roundtable discussion examining the emerging downstream markets for e-scrap, shifts in universal waste legislation and regulations and how to keep pace with changing material flows. She shared insights on the benefits of innovation and collaboration as the sector continues to rapidly evolve.

“I’m honored to have been invited to participate in this important discussion alongside my industry colleagues,” said Ransom. “Our friends at Recycling Today continue to produce vitally important impact events, and this week’s timely and informative gathering was no exception.”

Matt Cherevaty of Cyclic Materials and Phil Bove from Sunnking Sustainable Solutions were also on the panel.

“In a society where stored power and green energy play an increasingly vital role, it’s imperative to recycle batteries and other UW to harness their raw material value while also protecting the environment and safeguarding valuable assets,” said James Keefe, publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group, who produced the conference. “Our event was designed to examine the issues surrounding battery and critical materials recovery and recycling.
