Transfix Launches AI Rate Recommendation Software for Freight Brokers, Embedded Directly in the Quoting Workflow

New AI rate advisor inside the Transfix TMS synthesizes market data, historical lanes, control panel rules, and award history into a single recommendation.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transfix, a leading transportation management system (TMS) provider for freight brokers and 3PLs, today launched new AI rate recommendation software embedded directly inside the Transfix TMS quoting form. The capability rolls out to brokerage customers in Q2 2026.

The new AI rate advisor for freight brokers synthesizes the data brokers already see across five separate insight panels (market rate, historical lane, cost-model forecast, projected margin, and award history) into a single recommendation with explicit reasoning. A snapshot view surfaces historical margin, synthetic rate, cost-model p50, and award win rate at a glance, while a built-in chat layer answers follow-up pricing and market questions in plain English. A reverse rate calculator lets brokers enter a target shipper rate and instantly see the maximum carrier budget that preserves margin.

The capability was shaped by direct customer feedback captured across Transfix's TMS onboarding and account channels, including the request to enter a shipper rate and have the system work backward to a carrier cost. It is also designed to standardize pricing logic across an organization, giving junior brokerage reps senior-level guidance the moment they open a quote.

“Brokers already have the data. What they don't have is time to synthesize it on every quote. This advisor reads the lane, reads the market, and tells the rep what a senior pricer would, with the math to back it up.” said Jonathan Salama, Co-Founder and CEO of Transfix.
