Surescripts experts will lead multiple speaking sessions, highlighting how the growing adoption of the NCPDP SCRIPT Standard© RxTransfer transaction is replacing manual phone and fax workflows, helping patients access their medications sooner. In addition, attendees can learn more about the work being done to advance pharmacy interoperability that can better enable pharmacists to play a more integrated role in patient care and care coordination.

“RxTransfer is about removing friction from one of the most time-consuming processes pharmacists face today,” said Walker Arp, Senior Product Analyst at Surescripts. “By enabling seamless, standards-based prescription transfers, we’re helping pharmacies improve efficiency, reduce errors and help pharmacists spend more time caring for their patients.”

“Pharmacists are increasingly expected to deliver clinical services beyond dispensing, and interoperability helps make that possible,” said Lawrence King, Vice President of Product Innovation, Intelligent Prescribing at Surescripts and member of the NCPDP Board of Trustees. “By improving how pharmacy data is exchanged—securely, accurately and in real time—we can better connect pharmacists to the care team and keep patient care on track.”
