Camber Renews CALSTART Membership to Advance Reliable, Outcomes Driven Fleet Electrification

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Camber, a leading provider of end-to-end fleet electrification solutions, today announced the renewal of its CALSTART membership, continuing a partnership that began in June 2024. The renewal underscores Camber’s commitment to advancing practical, reliable electrification for transit, school bus, municipal, commercial, and logistics fleets across the United States.

“We’re thrilled that Camber has renewed their CALSTART membership, building on our partnership,” said Wendy Wilson, Vice President of External Affairs at CALSTART. “Camber’s expertise in reliable, high-impact electrification for transit, school buses, and commercial fleets perfectly aligns with our mission to scale clean transportation. Together, we’ll share insights, tackle infrastructure challenges, and drive measurable industry progress.”

CALSTART’s mission to accelerate clean transportation solutions aligns with Camber’s focus on delivering measurable operational outcomes, not just hardware deployments. Through access to CALSTART’s technical staff, member-only industry insights, and a network of more than 200 member organizations, Camber is deepening its ability to help fleets address real-world constraints around reliability, power availability, duty cycles, and long-term maintenance.

“Camber is focused exclusively on partnerships that move our industry forward and help fleets navigate the realities of electrification,” says Brendan Harney, President of Camber. “CALSTART provides an invaluable forum for collaboration, learning, and innovation. We’re proud to renew this membership and build on the work we’ve already started together.”

Among more than 160 megawatts of fleet charging infrastructure deployed across North America, Camber has supported hundreds of fleets from early planning and design through installation and long-term service. With work across ports, transit, commercial, and rental fleets, Camber applies cross-segment experience to each engagement. Recent experience includes helping CapMetro bring nearly three megawatts of charging online in under 90 days, which illustrates how Camber can accelerate timelines and deliver results.

In 2026, Camber and CALSTART plan to highlight insights from Camber’s deployments with major transit agencies, school districts, municipal fleets, and high-throughput commercial operations. These projects demonstrate Camber’s outcomes-based approach, which prioritizes system reliability, uptime, and long-term support over one-off equipment solutions.

“CALSTART’s member community is at the center of the industry’s progress,” Harney adds. “We look forward to sharing what we’ve learned, listening to what others are experiencing in the field, and contributing to a collective effort to move fleets forward.”
