The program recognizes Canada’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on the highest revenue-growth percentage over the past four years – as well as the passion, integrity, and vision that propel Canada's technology sector.

Ideon Technologies achieved 938% revenue growth between 2021-2024 and is #33 in the Technology Fast 50 category this year. Co-Founder and CEO Gary Agnew credits his team’s ability to turn breakthrough science into real-world value with Ideon’s impressive growth since being named a Company to Watch winner in 2023.

“We’ve scaled a proven, proprietary technology into a platform that delivers measurable value for the global mining industry -- reducing the risk and cost of traditional methods, while saving time, optimizing return, and minimizing environmental impact,” said Agnew. “Add a relentless focus on execution from a multidisciplinary team, a group of innovation-driven customers, and the urgency of the global critical minerals challenge — and you get a recipe for rapid growth.”

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50 ranking, companies must have been in business for at least four years, have exceeded a minimum revenue growth threshold between 2021 and 2024, be headquartered in Canada, own proprietary technology, and invest a minimum of 5% of gross revenues in R&D activities that are conducted in Canada.
