AIRCO™ Deploys Latest AIRMADE® Fuel Demonstration Plant to the U.S., Marking Key Step Toward Scalable CO₂-to-Fuel Production
The Company’s Latest Technology Arrives in NYC to Accelerate Development of Synthetic Aviation Fuel
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AIRCOTM, the carbon conversion technology company pioneering scalable solutions to transform CO₂ into essential fuels, today announced the successful operation of its new integrated AIRMADE® Fuel plant in Brooklyn, New York. The plant represents a major technological milestone for AIRCO and the broader effort to commercialize synthetic fuels.
AIRCO is bringing together the core elements of its innovative CO₂-to-fuel process into a single, fully integrated system. Supported by AIRCO’s $70M Series B capital fundraise, the AIRMADE® Fuel plant is designed to demonstrate how AIRCO’s modular technology can reliably convert captured CO₂ and hydrogen into synthesis gas which in turn is converted into optimized liquid fuel components for aviation and aerospace – laying the groundwork for future commercial-scale deployments.
“The United States will remain a critical proving ground and home for our technology,” said Gregory Constantine, Co-Founder and CEO of AIRCO. “The successful operation of this plant marks another step toward our vision of commercializing multiple carbon technologies. It demonstrates how a variety of feedstocks including captured carbon can be transformed into synthetic fuels that can be scaled to meet growing global demand.”
At the heart of the AIRMADE® Fuel plant is a two-part process. The first stage uses AIRCO’s proprietary AIRMADE™ Technology to transform CO₂ and hydrogen into liquid fuel building blocks. The second stage upgrades those intermediates through additional processing steps to create an optimized jet fuel blending component. This continuous, integrated system demonstrates how AIRCO has combined its individual technologies into a single operational unit, representing a crucial step toward commercial scalability.
The AIRMADE® Fuel plant will enable AIRCO to conduct essential testing to validate that its fuel components meet rigorous industry standards, while also serving as a physical demonstration of the company’s broader vision for modular, mobile, and scalable CO₂ conversion technology. Designed to adapt to a wide range of environments and leverage diverse feedstocks, whether powered by renewable energy such as nuclear or advanced clean hydrogen production methods, the AIRMADE® Fuel plant represents a critical step toward bringing synthetic aviation fuel to commercial markets at scale.
The arrival of this cutting-edge technology reflects the company’s growing role in both the defense and commercial sectors, with ongoing collaborations spanning the U.S. Department of Defense and leading aviation partners such as JetBlue and Virgin Atlantic.
