Bioscience Association Manitoba Celebrates Global Biotech Week 2025 and Manitoba’s Growing Bioscience Sector

WINNIPEG, Manitoba--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM) is excited to join communities around the world in celebrating Global Biotech Week, taking place September 21 – 27, 2025. This annual celebration highlights the transformative power of biotechnology and bioscience, showcasing breakthroughs, innovations, and the incredible contributions of Manitoba’s growing sector.

It’s about inspiring the next generation to explore careers in our sector by showing them how innovation and collaboration here in Manitoba can have a global impact.

To mark the occasion, BAM will host a special proclamation event at the Manitoba Legislative Building on September 25, bringing together students, industry leaders, and government representatives. This event will shine a spotlight on Manitoba’s role in advancing biotechnology and offer students a unique opportunity to connect with professionals driving innovation across the province.

“Global Biotech Week is about celebrating the creativity, collaboration, and impact of Manitoba’s bioscience sector,” said Andrea Ladouceur, President and CEO of BAM. “From life-saving healthcare innovations to sustainable solutions in agriculture and clean biotechnologies, this week highlights the ways our local experts are making a global difference.”

Global Biotech Week celebrates biotechnology across more than 16 countries worldwide, bringing attention to the ways this sector improves health, food security, environmental sustainability, and technological advancement. Manitoba’s participation underscores the province’s growing presence in this global movement, highlighting how local discoveries, collaborations, and initiative contribute to solving challenges on a global scale.
