This new category highlights the power of creativity and invention in athletics—from advancing equipment and boosting performance, to preventing injuries or even elevating the fan experience.

“Through this competition, we support inventors and entrepreneurs at their earliest stages, when they need it most,” said Brad Gamble, chief executive officer of the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention. “We’re thrilled to partner with Gatorade to help find and support the next potentially game-changing idea in sports,” he continued.

In addition to Sports, the 2025 Cade Prize is now accepting applications in the following categories: Environmental, Healthcare, Technology, and Wildcard.

The final application deadline is July 10, 2025. Winners will be announced at the Cade Prize awards ceremony on October 1, 2025, at the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention in Gainesville, Florida.
