For more than 20 years, Langille has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest brands and celebrity personalities with his signature doodle style on display. Now, he brings his imaginative illustrations to JCPenney for an exclusive, limited-time collection with our most popular kids brands, Okie Dokie and Thereabouts.

“Fashion should be fun – especially for kids,” said Michelle Wlazlo, Brand CEO of JCPenney. “At JCPenney, we’re on a mission to make fashion accessible for the families who turn to us for quality at a great price. Working with Matthew on this collection has been such a joyful process, and I am so excited to see how our young customers express themselves through his designs.”

Taking an upbeat, humorous view of modern society, Langille’s graphics, patterns, drawings and prints embrace imperfection, exuding a childish and playful quality.

“My approach to my art and to life in general is simple – I just want to make people smile,” said Langille. “Throughout my career, I’ve honed my style to be instantly recognizable with bright colors and unique characters. I am so thrilled to partner with a retailer as iconic as JCPenney to bring these designs to kids all over the country.”

Whimsical, colorful and silly, Matthew Langille x JCPenney showcases a playground of patterns and graphics with wearable styles both kids and parents will love. From graphic tees and fleece sets to dresses and onesies, Langille’s imagination runs wild in this extraordinary capsule collection featuring a cast of silly characters, made with every doodlebug in mind.

On April 12, customers will have the opportunity to meet Matthew Langille at JCPenney at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ. From 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., kids and parents are invited to the Kids Zone event to create a craft with the artist, utilizing coloring pages and stickers with designs created exclusively for JCPenney. For those who are not local, join the fun by downloading coloring pages from JCPenney to print at home.
