California-Based Builder, Homes Built For America, Joins Professional Builder’s 2025 Top 200 List of Largest Builders in the U.S.

SAN RAMON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Homes Built For America (HBFA), the homebuilding division of The True Life Companies (TTLC), has recently joined the 2025 Top 200 Rankings as a leading builder by Professional Builder, the official publication for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Formerly known as Housing Giants, this annual ranking of builders by revenue was first established in 1936, the same year that Professional Builder magazine was launched.

“After less than five years since our launch as a new homebuilder, we’re so pleased to join this esteemed list in such record time. This was truly a team effort,” said Scott Menard, President of Homes Built For America (HBFA).

“After less than five years since our launch as a new homebuilder, we’re so pleased to join this esteemed list in such record time. This was truly a team effort,” said Scott Menard, President of HBFA. “Home building can be a complicated business, and we’re lucky to have the best talent with us in charge of everything from customer care and construction to marketing and finance. It’s due to their collective efforts that we’ve grown so quickly.”

According to statistics compiled by Professional Builder, the 212 builders ranked this year earned 7.2% more revenue in 2024 than in 2023 and closed or completed 7.4% more homes – accounting for nearly 32% of the overall housing market. Even with this growth, however, there remain considerable challenges for even the most resilient builders.

“With tariffs, geopolitical tensions, persistent inflation, and mid-6% mortgage rates, purchasing their first home has been daunting for buyers,” said Cynthia Keller, Senior VP of Brand | Sales & Marketing for HBFA to Rich Binsacca, Editorial Director of Pro Builder Media. “On the positive side, investment in the U.S. will be strong, the unemployment rate remains low and the economy overall is still doing well.”
