Newman University’s Pathmaker Program Offers Three-Year Career Focused Adventure Starting Fall 2025

Newman University to offer customizable, three-year bachelor’s degree program focused on industry partnerships and practical experience

WICHITA, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Newman University recently announced a new three-year degree program that will begin the fall semester of 2025. Newman’s Pathmaker program varies from the traditional bachelor’s degree in many ways, specifically by empowering students to chart their own course to achieve learning goals rather than following a traditional path filled with standard coursework.

“One of my passions is trying to rethink and reimagine higher education and this program enables us to be innovative in a way we never have before. These students are creating a pathway to follow their dreams in a way that works for them and promotes immediate career growth,” said Alden Stout, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Newman University.

Pathmaker students will be immersed into three-years of accelerated learning by replacing general education courses with hands-on learning complete with summer projects. The year-round program allows students to forge a custom academic plan aligning with their professional goals in collaboration with local companies and industry partners. Real-world projects will provide students experience ahead of their entrance into the workforce and accelerate access to the traditional bachelor’s degree. Tuition costs are cut by completing a bachelor’s degree in three years, a flat rate of $19,000 that includes fall, spring and summer, and the option of adding a master’s degree in the fourth year. With personalized advising and a strong network of Newman University professors, alumni and local professionals, Pathmaker students have unparalleled access to tools to propel them into the career.

The depth and breadth of student’s education matches the prestige of a traditional Newman University degree with Pathmaker coursework that caters to their unique career goals. Newman’s AI capabilities enable students to create a customized degree plan complete with both necessary and industry immersive coursework, as well as any internships available.
