“On-campus housing plays a crucial role in shaping the student experience and contributing to academic success," stated Dr. Kelvin Rachell, Assistant Dean and Director of Housing and Residence Life at the University of North Georgia. "We collaborate closely with our faculty, staff, and property management partners, such as Corvias, to provide the highest level of service and value, ultimately supporting the best possible outcomes for our students."

Many students opt to live on-campus due to affordability and the convenience it provides. A recent multi-year study, of 75,000 students across 76 residential campuses, revealed that student engagement, retention, and feeling of belonging, were largely impacted by the on-campus living experience. For campus housing and residence life teams, which are often the highest touchpoints for first year and sophomore students, it is important to create engaging and welcoming environments.

By gathering resident feedback at move-in and upon work order completion, SatisFacts is one way that Corvias Property Management obtains feedback about the housing experience across its buildings. The nationally recognized SatisFacts Awards are measured through annual point-of-service surveys and recognize top property management companies and communities for delivering outstanding resident experiences. To qualify, award recipients must have a combined portfolio score of 4.25 out of 5 and meet other required criteria, like a minimum number of survey responses.

Students across Corvias-managed buildings have consistently ranked the company high for its quality of operations and maintenance services. This year, the ratings for the awarded campuses include:

Residents of the award-winning properties complimented Corvias for its quality of work, professionalism, and quick response times. Feedback included:

  • “...Everything was good and handled well.”
  • “[The maintenance tech] was kind and very helpful plus was very speedy with finishing the work!”
  • “[The maintenance tech] was amazing, he was cool, funny, and got in and out quickly.”
  • “Great work and loved the speed that the request was handled!”

Aside from the usual operations and property management, Corvias services include leasing, waitlist management, residence life, living learning communities and more. By taking care of everything from maintenance, landscaping, and housekeeping, Corvias helps to further partner goals and help them maintain a competitive housing edge while enhancing the student experience.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for our on-campus housing services across nine campuses,” said Thelma Edgell, President of Corvias’ Higher Education Division. “As a full-service housing provider that does more than just operations, we go the extra mile to support our partners and the residents who call our communities home, and it shows.”
